The Acadia Zoo In its fields and woods, the Acadia Zoo shelters about 45 species of wild and domestic animals
A converted barn serves as a rain-forest habitat for monkeys, birds, reptiles, and other Amazon creatures. Shows are scheduled throughout the day.
The Acadia Zoo exhibits 45 species on 15 acres, with Maine natives such as whitetailed deer, foxes, porcupines, local birds and out-of-stater's favorite the moose, as well as exotic wildlife including leopards, reindeer, colobus monkeys and gibbons.
