The Sieur de Monts Spring:
Wild Gardens of Acadia Managed by the Bar Harbor Garden Club, this .75-acre outdoor garden reflects typical habitats found on Mount Desert Island. Each species is labeled in its most characteristic habitat. There is no fee. Open year round.
Abbe Museum Each season this private museum features a major exhibit on Native American culture from this region. Open mid-May to mid-October. Fee charged. The Abbe Museum has another location open year round (except Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and the month of January) in downtown Bar Harbor. Sieur de Monts Spring Nature Center:
Exhibits explore the natural history of Acadia and depict how the park monitors and protects those resources. The center is open seasonally mid-May to late September. There is no admission charge. Operated by the National Park Service.
